Calina papaya is a local variety native to Indonesia which is widely cultivated by farmers in various regions. This fruit is in demand in the market because of its various advantages, such as small size with an average weight of 1.3 kilograms per fruit, sweet taste, thick, soft flesh, not too soft, and an attractive red color. Apart from that, Calina papaya does not have a strong typical papaya aroma making it a favorite on the market.

Pomegranate Red Papaya

In some areas such as Jambi and West Sumatra, Red Delima papaya is also known as honey papaya because it tastes very sweet and sticky without the typical papaya aroma. This fruit is medium sized, with a cavity shaped like a five-pointed star. The flesh of the fruit is red-orange, more than 3 cm thick, chewy, and has an average weight of 1.2 kilograms per fruit. This papaya is also known to be productive, producing more than 70 tons per hectare.

Papaya Carisya

Carisya papaya is characterized by thick, reddish-orange flesh and a high level of sweetness, with a sugar content reaching 14° Brix. The size is smaller than other types, weighing around 500-600 grams per fruit, oval in shape. This fruit is very practical to consume, just cut it in half and eat it directly with a spoon, without needing to peel the skin.

Jinggo Papaya

Jinggo papaya has pale red flesh that is sweet and juicy. The skin of the fruit is yellow with faint spots, while the shape of the fruit is round and elongated. The characteristic of this papaya is the short fruit stalk and the downward position of the fruit, so it is often called tungging papaya.
